THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.1368 OF 2017 ORDER:

By order dated 14.10.2016, W.P.No.14739 of 2011 was allowed setting aside the order of removal from service. The Court granted consequential benefits including continuity of service and all other benefits flowing therefrom. However, the Court granted back wages only from the date of institution of the Writ Petition i.e., on 26.03.2011. Alleging disobedience of the said directions issued by the Court, this Contempt Case is filed. 2.

Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent - Corporation now states that all the consequential benefits required to be paid were already transferred to the account of the petitioner through online and the same were received by the petitioner.

He further submits that aggrieved by the order in the Writ Petition, W.A.No.1066 of 2017 is filed by the respondent - Corporation and it was partly allowed denying the complete back wages to the petitioner. Leaving aside the back wages, all other benefits are paid.

Y.S.N. Murthy, Depot Manager of the respondent - Corporation, filed counter affidavit and at paragraph No.4 thereof, it is stated that pursuant to the orders of this Court passed in W.A.No.1066 of 2017 dated 01.08.2017, the Corporation has taken action and the amounts due to the petitioner have been calculated and paid to the petitioner and the petitioner acknowledged the same.

In view of the same, the Contempt Case is closed. However, it is needless to observe that if the petitioner has any grievance with regard to the amounts payable to him, it is always open to him to work out his remedies in accordance with law. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Contempt Case shall stand closed.
