HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE ANIS CRIMINAL M.P. No.3953 OF 2015 IN/AND CRIMINAL PETITION No.3031 OF 2015 COMMON ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A.1 to A.9 under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 to quash the proceedings against them in Crime No.374 of 2014 on the file of the Station House Officer, Bowenpalli Police Station, Hyderabad, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 448, 427 and 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short 'IPC').

2. The petitioners and the 2nd respondent/de facto complainant are present. They produced Aadhar Cards issued by the Government of India, which show their identity. They were also identified by their respective counsel. They filed a joint compromise memo, wherein they stated that they are related to each other and they have settled the matter amicably. The 2nd respondent/ de facto complainant also stated that she has no objection to quash the proceedings against the petitioners.

3. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 448, 427 and 506 read with 34 IPC. No doubt, the offences are compoundable.

4. In view of the compromise between the parties, the chance of conviction is bleak and remote. Therefore, in view of the fact that the matter has been amicably settled and the offences punishable under Sections 448, 427 and 506 read with 34 IPC are compoundable, there is no impediment to quash the proceedings against the petitioners.

5. Accordingly, Crl.M.P.No.3953 of 2015 is ordered by compounding the offences. Consequently, the Criminal Petition is allowed, quashing the proceedings against the petitioners/A.1 to A.9 in Crime No.374 of 2014 on the file of the Station House Officer, Bowenpalli Police Station, Hyderabad. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
