THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.29396 of 2016 ORDER:

In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents-police not to implicate the petitioner falsely in criminal proceedings and not to interfere with her personal life and liberty. Today, when the matter is taken up for admission, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that a crime has already been registered against the petitioner and the subject-matter of the writ petition has become infructuous.

Inasmuch as a case has already been registered against the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved over the registration of crime, she is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum. No costs.
