This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the petitioners-accused Nos.1 and 2 to quash the proceedings initiated against them in Crime No.730 of 2020 of Pet Basheerabad Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, registered for the offences under Sections 448, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3(1)(r)(s) of SCs/STs (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. 2.
There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent No.1-State has submitted that during pendency of this criminal petition, the Police concerned have completed the investigation and filed charge-sheet and the same was taken on file by the learned XXII Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal, and numbered as S.C.No.122 of 2021. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor
has filed a letter dated 14.09.2022 addressed by the SubInspector of Police, Pet Basheerabad Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, Mechal-Malkajgiri District, to the Public Prosecutor of the High Court to substantiate the same.

In view of the above submission, since entire investigation is completed and charge sheet is also filed, the very purpose of filing the criminal petition to quash Crime No.730 of 2020 of Pet Basheerabad Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, is defeated and thereby the Criminal Petition has become infructuous and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioners are given liberty to challenge the charge sheet, if they so desire. Pending Miscellaneous Applications, if any, shall stand closed.
