THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.21792 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.2 to 4 in opening the rowdy sheet vide rowdy sheet No.689, dated 20.11.2004, against the petitioner, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 15.06.2016, made by the petitioner for closure of rowdy sheet No.689, dated 20.11.2004, opened by Station House Officer, Mangalagiri Rural Police Station, Guntur District. 3.

Learned Government Pleader for Home would submit that the said representation may be directed to be considered, provided the same is pending consideration.

Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to deal with the representation dated 15.06.2016, made by the petitioner, seeking closure of rowdy sheet, in accordance with law, as early as possible, if the same is pending consideration. No costs.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
