Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. 2.

The deed of conveyance presented before the Sub-Registrar, Vayalpadu, Chittoor District, was refused for registration by order dated 08.07.2017. Aggrieved thereby, petitioners preferred appeal before the District Registrar, Chittoor District, under Section 72 of the Registration Act, 1908. The District Registrar assigned appeal number as 3 of 2017. Alleging inaction on the said appeal, this Writ Petition is filed.

Since learned counsel for the petitioners states that the appeal filed by the petitioners is pending and so far no orders are passed, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Registrar, Chittoor District, to dispose of Appeal No.3 of 2017, if it is pending before him, and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
