O R D E R
The case of the petitioners is that they are working as Sub Engineers in the 1st respondent - Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd.. Pursuant to the provisional seniority list dated 01.02.2016, they filed objections on 05.02.2016. The grievance of the petitioners is that without considering their objections, 2nd respondent again issued another provisional integrated seniority list on 18.05.2017. To the said seniority list, petitioners filed their objections on 24.05.2017 and as no action was taken for revising the promotions, they made another representation dated 13.04.2018. Aggrieved by the action of the official respondents in taking steps for issuing promotions to the post of Additional Assistant Engineers / Assistant Engineers, without considering the objections of the petitioners and in finalizing the seniority list, present writ petition has been filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Government Pleader for Energy for 6th respondent.
Sri R.Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for respondents 1 to 5, and seeks time for instructions. Sri V.Srinivasa Rao, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of unofficial respondent No.7 and submits that provisional integrated seniority list dated 18.05.2017, was prepared pursuant to judgment of Apex Court and hence no interference is warranted. It is to be seen that already objections were called for and they are before the competent authority and it is for the said authority to take decision on the objections of the petitioners.
In view of above facts and circumstances, without expressing any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of directing the competent authority to consider the objections filed by the petitioners pursuant to provisional integrated seniority list dated 18.05.2017 in accordance with law and take appropriate decision.
Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
