This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in proposing to lay the High Tension Electricity line from Narsapur to Palakol 33 KV over the petitioner's agricultural lands as being illegal and arbitrary.

Heard Sri S.V.V.S.V.Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Energy (Andhra Pradesh), representing the 1st respondent and Sri M.Ravindra, learned standing counsel for A.P.E.P.D.C.L. (Andhra Pradesh), representing the respondents 2 to 5.

At the time of hearing, learned standing counsel on instructions submitted that so far the respondents have not taken any steps for laying of High Tension Electricity Line from Narsapur to Palakol through the lands of the petitioner.

In view of the submission made by the learned standing counsel, no further orders are necessary in this matter at this point of time. Hence, the writ petition is closed.
