HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.29260 of 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in deleting the names of the petitioners from the list of existing eligible pensioners of Yellamanchili and Sariyaboddapadu Grampanchayats, Kotabommali Mandal, Srikakulam District as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (Andhra Pradesh) representing the respondents 1 to 4, learned standing counsel for Panchayat Raj, representing the respondents 5 to 7 and Sri Ravi Cheemalapati, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.8.
3. A perusal of the record reveals that the petitioners are senior citizens and residents of Yellamanchili and Sariyaboddapadu Grampanchayats of Kotabommali Mandal, Srikakulam District. It is the case of the petitioners that they used to get pension regularly up to 2014. Further case of the petitioners is that the respondents deleted their names from the existing list of eligible pensioners without conducting any enquiry. A perusal of the record further reveals that the petitioners herein made a representation to the District Collector to consider their case. For one reason or the other, the District Collector has not passed any orders.
4. Learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj submits that as per G.O.Ms.No.135 dated 17.09.2014, Panchayat Raj and
Rural Development (RD.1) Department, a committee was constituted to verify all the existing pensions.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and also the submissions made by both the counsel, the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 07.10.2014 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.135 dated 17.09.2014 and take appropriate action objectively.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
