HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE G.SHYAM PRASAD Writ Petition No.12651 of 2016 Order: (per V.Ramasubramanian, J.) The petitioner who applied for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in the 2nd respondent-University pursuant to a notification issued on 25-3-2013 has come up with the present writ petition seeking a mandamus to direct the University to declare the results of selection.

2. Heard Mr. L.V.S. Nagaraju, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. The notification dated 25-3-2013 became the subject matter of a few writ petitions. Though they were dismissed, writ appeals were filed and the entire selection process was put in cold-storage for more than three and a half years. After 02-6-2014 the State has been bifurcated and much water has flown. Today in two writ appeals W.A.Nos.716 and 717 of 2014, a statement was made by the learned Advocate General appearing on behalf of the State that the University has decided to go ahead with a fresh notification for recruitment for all campuses put together. In view of the said statement, the prayer made in this writ petition cannot be granted. Therefore, the writ petition is closed. However, as and when a fresh notification is issued, the petitioner may apply. In case he is over-aged as per the notification, he may make an application for relaxation of the upper age limit and

the University may consider the same in accordance with the Rules. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
