THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT WRIT PETITION No. 1210 of 2012 ORDER:

The petitioner complains against the refusal of permission by Respondents to conduct republic day celebrations on 26th & 27th January 2012, as illegal and arbitrary.

On 20.01.2012 the following interim direction was issued: " Pending further orders, Respondents are directed forthwith consider the application, dated 12th December, 2011, submitted by the petitioner, seeking permission under the City Police Act, and communicate the same to the petitioner, latest by 24th January, 2012." 3.

Having regard to the interim direction dated 20.01.2012, the substantive prayer in the writ petition is also considered and granted. Hence, no further order is necessary in this writ petition. 4.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
