Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.1 to 3 in not granting police aid to the petitioner against respondent Nos.4 and 5 in respect of D.No.13/ 329 situated at Langarbhavi Street, Adoni, Kurnool District, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondent police to consider the representation dated 24.10.2016, made by the petitioner, seeking police protection.

Learned Government Pleader for Home, does not dispute the same.

It is to be noted that on 24.10.2016, the petitioner made an application to the Superintendent of Police, Kurnool and also to the Inspector of Police, I Town Police Station, Adoni, Kurnool. A perusal of the representation made to the Superintendent of Police, would show that he made an endorsement directing the Circle Inspector of Police, I Town Police Station, Adoni, to take necessary action as per law and report compliance within a week. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date no action has been taken by the Inspector

of Police, causing irreparable loss, because of the acts of the unofficial respondents.

Having regard to the above endorsement made by the Superintendent of Police in the representation dated 24.10.2016, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Circle Inspector of Police - respondent No.3 to immediately act on the said representation, as endorsed, and take action, in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
