THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.26128 of 2014 ORDER:
The petitioner is a retired Government employee. He purchased an open plot, by way of a registered Sale Deed dated 11.06.1982, which is of an extent of 166.66 square yards situated at Yellammagutta, Nizamabad and constructed a house with his own money. His name was recorded as owner in the records of Municipal Corporation during the period 01.10.1993 to March 2002. Thereafter, the name of wife of the petitioner was shown as owner from April 2002 to March 2008. In those circumstances, he addressed a letter to respondent No.2 on 09.04.2008 requesting him to change the name in the records. He sought for information from respondent No.2 under the Right to Information Act, 2005, by his letter dated 28.07.2008. He came to know that the change of name took place in General revision on 01.04.2002. He got issued a notice through his counsel on 12.
04.2014. Pursuant to the notice, respondent No.2 intimated to the petitioner on 03.05.2014 stating that by oversight the name of wife of the petitioner was shown in the ownership column in the year 2002 and the same is deleted. It was also stated that the name of petitioner is retained in respect of the house based on the Sale Deed dated 11.06.1982. Now, the present writ petition is filed on the ground that in spite of intimation on 03.05.2014 no action was taken by correcting the concerned registers, maintained by respondent No.2. Learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2 submits that in view of the intimation dated 03.05.2014 he would issue necessary instructions to respondent No.
writ petition can be closed by recording his statement. Recording the above statement of learned Standing Counsel, this Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
