This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondent in not considering the claim of the petitioner for grant of pension under 'Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme-1980', despite State Verification Report dt.20.02.2009.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Counter is filed by the respondent stating that though the petitioner claimed that the State Government has sent their verification report regarding his claim vide their letter No.64773/FF.III/2008, dt.20.02.2009, but no such verification report regarding the claim of the petitioner has been received. It is further stated that on receipt of the verification report from the State Government, they would consider the case of the petitioner. Heard Sri Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao, learned Assistant Solicitor General.

It is to be seen that this Court has already granted interim order on 24.08.2010.

In view of the same, since it is the specific case of the petitioner that already State Government has sent verification report and petitioner has given the letter number and also date of recommendation, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits dispose of the writ petition directing the

respondent to take all the steps for getting verification report from the State Government and to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of Freedom Fighters Pension after receipt of the said report from the State Government, in accordance with the scheme. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
