THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. AMARNATH GOUD WRIT PETITION No.6546 OF 2013 ORDER:

The case of the petitioner is that he made a representation dated 04.01.2012 before the 1st respondent under the Right to Information Act, seeking certain information mentioned therein. Since the information as sought for by the petitioner is not furnished even after lapse of 11 months, the present writ petition is filed.

Though the writ petition pertains to 2013, so far, no counter affidavit is filed by the respondents.

When the petitioner made a representation seeking certain basic information complying with the procedure as contemplated under the Right to Information Act, it is obligatory on the part of the respondents to furnish the same.

Hence, the writ petition is allowed directing the respondents to take steps to furnish the information to the petitioner as sought for in his representation dated 04.01.2012 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
