O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus restraining the 4th respondent from holding election scheduled to be held on 23.12.2006 and for a consequential direction to set aside the same. This Court on 13.12.2006 granted interim order which reads as follows: "Any election or nomination made to the Executive Committee of the APSEB Union-327 shall be subject to further orders in this writ petition."

By efflux of time, the period of the elected body has already expired. As such, the cause in the writ petition no longer survives for adjudication. However, it is open for the petitioner to raise question of law, as and when any fresh election takes place.
