THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No 14589 of 2018 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that for the redressal of the grievance of the petitioner's company, they submitted a representation dated 20.04.2018 to the respondents, wherein, the petitioner requested for grant of eight instalments for payment of current consumption charges for the month of March, 2018 dated 05.04.2018.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that in similar circumstances, this Court, in W.P. No.36641 of 2017, passed an order on 03.11.2017, directing the petitioners therein to pay rest of the amount in five monthly instalments payable by 20th of every succeeding month, commencing from December, 2017. Till such time, the respondents therein shall not disconnect power supply to the service connection of the petitioner therein. Copy of the order in W.P.No.36641 of 2017 is placed on record along with this Writ Petition.

In view of the same, the respondents are directed to permit the petitioner to pay rest of the amount in five monthly instalments payable by 20th of every succeeding month, commencing from May 2018. Till such time, the respondents shall not disconnect power supply to the service connection of the petitioner. It is also made clear that in the event of failure to pay the instalments as indicated above, within the stipulated

time, the respondents are at liberty to take action including disconnection of power supply as envisaged under Section 56 of the Electricity Act.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.

5. As a sequel there to, miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed.
