THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO W.P.M.P.No.6005 of 2016 AND WRIT PETITION No.6153 of 2007 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not extending the benefit of absorption/Regularisation in the category of Junior Plant Attendant with effect from 19.11.1998 as arbitrary and illegal and to consequently, direct the respondents to extend the benefit of regularisation as Junior Plant Attendant with effect from 19.11.1998 as extended to others in pursuance of orders dated 4.8.1997 in W.P.No.17972 of 1997 and orders dated 7.2.2006 in W.P.No.8389 of 2002.

Pending the writ petition, the petitioners filed W.P.M.P.No.6005 of 2016 stating that batch of writ petitions, wherein similar lis is involved, were disposed of by this Court following the judgment dated 06.11.2014 in W.A.No.404 of 2006 and 492 of 2009, but, though the subject-matter of the present writ petition is also covered by the said judgment, it was not listed. Therefore, the petitioners seek to dispose of the present writ petition in terms of the above judgment passed in the writ appeals. In view of the above, W.P.M.P.No.6005 of 2016 is ordered and in terms of the judgment of Division Bench of this Court in W.A.No.404 of 2006 and 492 of 2009 dated 06.11.2014 and for the reasons stated therein, the present writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO,J 22.02.2016.
