This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in issuing proceedings dated 01.10.2007 as communicated by the 3rd respondent vide memo dated 31.10.2007 insofar as the petitioner is concerned, as arbitrary and illegal.

Since the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and, accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
