THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.14353 OF 2007

O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, having issued a notification for filling up the posts of 'Piece Rate Tonsurer', confined the candidature only to the residents of Chittoor District. This Court, by order dated 05.07.2007, directed the Devasthanam to accept the applications of the petitioners and consider them along with others for recruitment to the notified posts.

Sri A.K. Jayaprakash Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Devasthanam, states that pursuant to the aforestated interim order, the candidature of the petitioners was considered on merits and they were not found eligible for recruitment to the subject posts.

In that view of the matter, the cause in this writ petition no longer survives for consideration on merits.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
