THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. VINOD KUMAR Writ Petition No.17177 of 2019 ORDER:

The present writ petition is filed to declare the action of the 3rd respondent-Station House Officer, Chandanagar Police Station, Hyderabad, in not conducting the investigation expeditiously by filing charge sheet in Crime No.145 of 2019 dated 18.03.2019 for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, as being illegal and arbitrary.

Heard Sri K.V.N. Pavan, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the official respondents 1 to 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on the basis of written instructions dated 09.08.2019, a copy of which is placed on the record of this Court submits that upon receipt of the complaint made by the petitioner on 01.03.2019, the concerned Station House Officer while investigating into the crime, examined LW.1 and recorded his statement. After transfer of the Investigating Officer, the case was taken up by another officer, who addressed a letter to the Board of Secondary School Education for obtaining certified copy of SSC memo of the accused person and such request was made on 08.09.2019.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home further submits that the case is under investigation for collection of SSC certificate of accused No.1 from the Board of Secondary School Education and also her bio-data, which was sent to the de facto complainant at the time of marriage proposal. The learned Assistant Government Pleader further submits that after collecting the above documents, investigation will be proceeded further and the case will be finalized.

Having regard to the said submissions made on behalf of the 3rd respondent, since the matter is under active consideration, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition, except observing that the respondent police authorities shall complete the investigation and finalize the case as expeditiously as possible.

With the above observation, the writ petition is closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Applications, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. ___________________ T. VINOD KUMAR, J Date: 13.12.2019 Isn
