SMT. JUSTICE T. RAJANI CRIMINAL PETITION No.10899 OF 2011 ORDER:

The present Criminal Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is filed by the petitioners - accused Nos. 1 to 4 seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime/FIR No.134 of 2011, dated 08.10.2011 of Thondangi Pollice Station, East Godavari District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 323 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 3 (1) (x) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention Of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners files a copy taken from the Website of the Police Department showing that the case ended in acquittal. But, the learned Public Prosecutor, on the other hand, states that final report was filed referring the case as civil in nature, and that no protest petition was filed as on this day.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
