HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.14784 OF 2011 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent while functioning as 'Sarpanch' of Atchalapur Gram Panchayat, Tandur Mandal, Adilabad District, committed certain irregularities. As such, the petitioner being a ward member has filed a representation to the 2nd respondent on 03.05.2011 requesting to pass final orders as per Section 249(1) of the A.P.Panchayat Raj Act. As no action has been taken, present writ petition is filed. It is stated that proceedings were initiated against the 3rd respondent for removing him as 'sarpanch'. By efflux of time, the term of the 3rd respondent has already expired, as such cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
