Heard the learned counsel for petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise for respondents. 2.

This writ petition was filed challenging the order of the second respondent dated 07.11.2009 rejecting the application of the petitioner under Form-1A for prior clearance for grant of licence by bar.

3. In view of new rules that have come into force and also taking into consideration the consequences of bifurcation of the State and the policy of the new Government in the residuary State and also in view of earlier decisions of this Court, the relief sought for in the writ petition cannot be granted and hence the writ petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to apply fresh in accordance with law, if she is otherwise entitled. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
