O R D E R:- (per Hon'ble Sri Justice G. Chandraiah) This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief:

"...for the issuance of writ, order or proceedings more particularly a writ in the nature of mandamus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, directing the 1st respondent to amend the provisions of Section 45 of the State Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950 and provide for the publication of regulations framed by the 3rd respondent with the approval of the 2nd respondent in the official Gazette both at the draft stage, inviting objections and suggestions and at the final stage in order to safeguard the interest of thousands of workmen employed by the 3rd respondent in the absence of which the lower employees will suffer unjust discrimination and their fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India would remain illusory...." When this matter, which is of the year 2000 and listed under the caption "Specially Identified Cases", is taken up for hearing, nobody has appeared nor is made any representation on behalf of the petitioner, as such, it seems that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the matter.

Hence, this writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No order as to costs.

Sri P. Durga Prasad, learned standing counsel for A.P.S.R.T.C., appearing for the 3rd respondent. As a sequel to the dismissal of the writ petition, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
