In this writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the grievance of the petitioner is in respect of non-registration of a crime pursuant to the complaint, dated 18.12.2017, lodged by her with the Station House Officer, Rayadurg Police Station, the fourth respondent, against respondents 5 and 6.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and of the learned Government Pleader for Home (A.P.) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. I have perused the material record. 3.

At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a copy of the complaint is also sent to the Superintendent of Police, Anantapur, the second respondent, but no action has been taken so far. 4.

Learned Government Pleader for Home, on oral instructions, would submit that the police officer concerned would take suitable action by following the precedential guidelines of the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh1.

Recording the submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the fourth respondent to act in accordance with the guidelines in the aforestated decision of the Supreme Court and take suitable action in the matter expeditiously. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order.
