THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.21431 of 2007 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioners seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 1 and 2 in trying to pass award without referring the dispute to the competent civil Court as arbitrary and illegal and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to refer the dispute to the competent civil Court for adjudication of the dispute.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the counsel for the petitioners as well as the counsel for the respondents 3 and 4 and learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 that the dispute between the petitioners and respondents 3 and 4 is amicably settled in terms of compromise entered by them and the compensation amount was also distributed among them and therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Recording the said submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any shall also stand disposed of.
