THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR W.P. NO. 6709 of 2013 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioners have filed the present writ petition on the allegation that the respondents 1 to 4 were not rectifying the wrong entries in revenue records in respect of the subject lands.
During the pendency of this writ petition, the petitioners have filed WPMP No. 36940 of 2014 stating that they have entered into a compromise with fourth respondent and requesting this Court to record terms of compromise with respect to correction of entries in revenue records.
Under Public law remedy compromise of this nature cannot be recorded. However, since the petitioners have settled their disputes with the fourth respondent, it is open for them to approach the third respondent with the memorandum of compromise and seek appropriate orders in the matter. The writ petition is accordingly
disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
