HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 11555 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner as Village Electricity Worker in the light of his earlier service and reinstate him and regularize his services.

Heard Sri B. Ramesh, learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned standing counsel for respondents.

It has been contended by the petitioner he was initially appointed as Village Electricity Worker in March, 1988 and after rendering nearly seven years of service, his services were terminated. Subsequently, he submitted a representation to the respondents seeking to reinstate him into service, but the respondents have not considered his case.

This Court having considered the said submission is of the considered view that the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a representation afresh. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to submit a representation afresh to the respondents within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon receiving such representation, the respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner for engaging him to the post of Village Electricity Worker or any other suitable post, and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within four weeks thereafter.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________________________ ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J 2nd November, 2018 cbs
