Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

Petitioner claims that he purchased land to an extent of Ac.2.20 guntas from Chinnari Srinivasa Chary. According to petitioner Srinivasa Chary was assigned land on 28.09.1989 and since ten years has passed by the time the land was offered to the petitioner, he purchased the land. Petitioner applied for grant of No objection certificate, as per G.O.Ms.No.307 dated 06.06.2013 for the purpose of mutating his name in the revenue records. Alleging inaction on the representation made on 12.02.2016 and on 05.03.2018, this writ petition is filed.

Since a representation is made to the District Collector on 12.02.2016, the Court is not entering into the details of the claim and submissions made by learned Assistant Government pleader. The District Collector, Nagar Kurnool is directed to examine the claim of the petitioner as to whether petitioner is entitled to grant of No objection certificate on the alleged claim of purchase made by him on the land assigned to ex-servicemen and furnish suitable reply to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
