petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies appearing for the respondents.
2. This writ petition is filed questioning the inaction of the respondents 2 to 4 in bifurcating Fair Price Shop No.28 Rural and to create a new shop at Gangamma Gudi area of Basinikonda Gram Panchayat. The petitioner is the consumer and is a resident of Basinikonda Gram Panchayat, Gangamma Gudi village of Chittoor district.
He is attached to Fair Price Shop No.28 Rural of Basinikonda Gram Panchayat.

It is submitted that the petitioner and some other card holders made a request to the respondents to bifurcate Fair Price Shop No.28 Rural of Gangamma Gudi village, which is situated at a distance of 3 kms., from their residences and it has become very difficult for them to receive the essential commodities from the fair price shop. They made a representation dated 15-9-2014 to the Tahsildar, Madanapalli. After receiving the representation, the Tahsildar, Madanapalli made a local inspection and conducted enquiry. Thereafter, he submitted a report dated 09-11-2014 to the 3rd respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer, Madanapalli recommending for the bifurcation of Fair Price Shop No.28.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that inspite of the recommendation made by the Tahsildar, Madanapalli, no steps have been taken for bifurcating the fair price shop. Under these circumstances, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 15-9-2014 submitted by the petitioner and others and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly at the stage of admission. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand
closed. No costs.
