This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. by the petitioners/ accused Nos.1 to 7 to quash the proceedings in FIR No.269 of 2023 on the file ol Women Police Station(Central Crime Station), Hyderabad, for the offences under Sections 498-A and 506 of Indian Pena,l Code and Section 3 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri S.Ganesh, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent No.1 and perused the record. 3.
Since the punishment prescribed for the oflences alleged against the petitioners is less than seven years, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioners/ accused Nos.l to 7 to appear before the Investigating Officer on 21 .O7.2023 between O2:00 p.m. and O4:00 p.m. and the Investigating Officer is directed to follow the procedure laid down under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. and also the guidelines formulated by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in
Arnesh Kumo.r us. State of Biharr scrupulously. However, the petitioners/ accused Nos. 1 to 7 shall cooperate with the Investigating Officer as and when required by furnishing information and documents as sought by him in concluding the investigation.
