This writ petition was filed for quashing and setting aside the FIR No.795 of 2016 registered in Jublee Hills Police Station on 16.12.2016.

The petitioner states that in connection with the said Crime when he was arrested and left the court premises, a news item was published in Times of India, as a result of which he along with his family members are being harassed and he is apprehending harassment from the police without following due process of law. 3.
The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents assures this court that they would follow due process of law with regard to the pending crime against the petitioner. 4.
This court is not inclined to entertain the present writ petition with regard to the challenge made to the FIR No.795 of 2016 dated 16.12.2016 as the petitioner is having an effective alternative remedy. 5.
In view of the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to follow due process of law and the petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation of the crime. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
