THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO ORDER:

Petitioners claim that they are the owners of land to an extent of Acres 4.51 cents in Survey No.676/2 of Balighattam Village, Narsipatnam Mandal, Visakhapatnam District.

While so, the said property is included in the list of prohibited properties under Section 22-A(1)(a) of the Indian Registration Act, vide Gazette Notification dated 18.08.2015. Aggrieved by the said inclusion, petitioners made representation to the District Collector, received in his office on 05.09.2017. He inturn called the report from the Tahsildar. The Tahsildar submitted his report, copy of which is enclosed to the writ petition paper book as Ex.P13. Alleging inaction on the application made, even after report is submitted, this writ petition is filed.

Having regard to the fact that application is already filed, without expressing any opinion on merits, District Collector is directed to finalize the issue on the application submitted by the petitioners, after due consideration of the report submitted by the Tahsildar, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

Accordingly and with the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in this case shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
