Heard. With the consent of both counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

On the allegation that petitioner quarrelled with one Sri Ameer Khan- auto driver holding that he has not obeyed the signal and crossed the road has beaten the auto driver on head with Helmet and man pack set several times due to which the said auto driver sustained severe head injury and got 13 stitches. A report was called from the Reserve Inspector of Police, Unit-I, of Home Guards Organization. Based on the said report the Home Guards Removal Committee passed order to remove the petitioner from service by order dated 13.05.2015. Petitioner was charge sheeted on the very same allegation and was tried before the XVII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally Criminal Courts, Hyderabad in C.C.No.969 of 2014. Vide judgment dated 20.10.

2016, the XVII-Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, acquitted the petitioner on the charge levelled against him. After the acquittal, petitioner made representation on 09.03.2018 addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, requesting to reinstate him into service consequent to acquittal granted by the criminal court. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this writ petition is filed.

Having regard to the facts noted above and since the representation is pending, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Commissioner

of Police, Hyderabad to examine the claim of petitioner as ventilated in his representation dated 09.03.2018 for reinstatement into service, consequent to acquittal granted by the criminal Court. A decision shall be taken and communicated to the petitioner within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
