HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM CONTEMPT CASE No. 1647 of 2017 ORDER:

The Contempt Case is filed alleging non-compliance of the order of this Court, in W.P.No.25392 of 2016 dated 09.08.2016.

This Court, instead of dismissing the Writ Petition, closed the writ petition granting liberty to the petitioner to exercise his right for claiming compensation in accordance with law. The operative portion of the order does not indicate any relief having been granted to the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner, in the writ petition, was that his name was not entered in the revenue records on the ground that it was no longer an agricultural land as Black Top (B.T) road was laid on the said land. This Court had not interfered with changing nature of land but, however, granted liberty to the petitioner to claim compensation if his land was acquired/utilized by the Gram Panchayat. In as much as no relief has been granted to the petitioner, question of implementing the order of this Court does not arise and the very filing of contempt case itself is misconceived.

The Contempt Case is, accordingly, dismissed. No order as to costs.
