THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM CONTEPT CASE No. 1264 of 2018 ORDER:

This contempt case is filed alleging non-compliance of the order, dated 22.01.2018, passed by this Court in W.P.No.41407 of 2017.

By the aforesaid order, this Court directed the respondent herein to consider the proposal sent by the District Collector, Nalgonda, dated 24.02.2017, and take action for release of the compensation amount payable to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the said order. Today, learned counsel for the respondent placed before this Court a copy of G.O.Rt.No.401, Transport, Roads & Buildings (R.II) Department, dated 11.07.2018, a perusal of which shows that the Government sanctioned a sum of Rs.11,53,04,271/- towards compensation payable with respect to land acquired and the said amount includes a sum of Rs.87,22,265/- to be paid to the petitioner.

In the light of the above, it can be said that the order, dated 22.01.2018, has since been complied with.

Accordingly, the contempt case is closed. It is made clear that if the petitioner is not paid the compensation, he is at liberty to take steps in accordance with law.

Consequently, miscellaneous applications, if any shall stand closed.
