The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents in considering the representations made by the petitioners dated 15.10.2013, 18.10.2013 and 08.12.2013 for considering the candidature of the local candidates for the post of Shift Operators, Watchmen in newly constructed Sub-Station at Devalampally Village, Bommaiahpalle Panchayat, Vedurukuppam Mandal, Chittoor District, as illegal and arbitrary. 3.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that though the petitioners are eligible, their request was not considered in respect of the above said posts. He further submits that if the posts to which the petitioners made their request are still vacant and if they are otherwise eligible, their request may be directed to be considered, basing on the above said representations. 4.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representations made by the petitioners on 15.10.2013, 18.10.2013 and 08.12.2013, if not already considered and if the recruitment process is still not completed, pursuant to the notification dated 08.12.2013, provided their services are required and are otherwise eligible and if the applications are made, in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
