ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue direction or order or orders more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not providing employment to the petitioner is illegal, arbitrary and violative of rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India and consequently declare the petitioner is eligible for employment as per G.O.Ms. No.3, dated 16.01.1996 and pass such other order or orders may deem fit an proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri Ch.Venkat Raman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services appearing for the respondents.

It is the case of the petitioner that she belongs to Scheduled Tribe. Her mother was murdered by one Chakali Venkataiah on 21.07.2008. The State Government has taken a policy decision to provide employment to one of the family members of the deceased person, who was murdered. In pursuance thereof, the petitioner made representations to the to the respondents on 9.7.2019 and on 12.7.2019 to provide her employment in terms of G.O.Ms.No.3, dated 16.01.1996. But so far no orders have been passed thereon.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondents be directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner on 9.7.2019 and on 12.7.2019 and pass appropriate orders.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the representations submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner on 9.7.2019 and on 12.7.2019 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
