This Writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioner seeking to call for the records pertaining to notification, dated 10.05.2007, in R.O.C. 258/ 07/ G4/ SW, issued by the 2nd respondent under Section 4 (1) of the Land Acquisition Act, and declare the same as illegal and consequently, set aside the same. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition informed that the respondents have acquired the alternative land and they are not interested in proceeding further in acquiring the land of the petitioner.
