HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U. DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No.1483 of 2017 ORDER: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice Suresh Kumar Kait) In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to forthwith produce the detenu, by name Smt. B. Vijayalakshmi, w/o. late Prof. B. Parameshwara Rao, before this Court.

Pursuant to the notices issued by this Court on 11.01.2017, respondent Nos.3 and 5 to 7 are present in person along with Smt. B. Vijayalakshmi before this Court. On interaction with the alleged detenu by this Court, she states that she is staying with respondent Nos.5 to 7 voluntarily and she is happy there. Though, she stated that she has no disputes with the petitioner, who is her mother, however, she is not interested to stay permanently with her. 3.

Keeping in view the statement made by the alleged detenu, this Court cannot dictate terms to a person, who is major. The alleged detenu has every right to stay wherever she likes.

In view of the above, this writ petition is closed.

Needless to state that the parties are at liberty to raise the legal issues before the appropriate Forum, as and when required. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
