THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.40659 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents 3 and 4 in harassing the petitioners without proper enquiry pursuant to the registration of crime No.616 of 2016 on the complaint lodged by the fifth respondent.

The fifth respondent is the father of the girl, who claims to have fallen in love with the first petitioner. The petitioners 2 and 3 are his parents. There is no denial of the fact that the daughter of the fifth respondent and the first petitioner was in love for some time and thereafter the marriage proposals did not materialise. However, on the complaint of the fifth respondent, the fourth respondent registered the crime and the investigation is under progress. Since the investigation is under progress, this Court is not inclined to interdict the investigation, but in view of the nature of the allegations contained in the complaint, the third respondent shall not arrest the petitioner or harass them but shall follow due process of law during the course of investigation. It is needless to observe that the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigating agency. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
