This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings against him in Crime No.125 of 2012, on the file of Atmakur Police Station, Kurnool District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 468 & 204 IPC.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent submitted before this Court that after completion of the investigation, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Atmakur Police Station, Atmakur, Kurnool District, has already addressed a letter, dated 20.09.2016, to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Atmakur Police Station, Atmakur, Kurnool, seeking permission to drop the case against the petitioner herein.

The Court perused the said letter. Having regard to the same, the proceedings in Crime No.125 of 2012, on the file of the Atmakur Police Station, Atmakur, Kurnool District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 468 and 204 IPC, are liable to be quashed against the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.125 of 2012, on the file of the Atmakur Police Station, Atmakur, Kurnool District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 468 and 204 IPC, are hereby quashed against the petitioner/accused.
