Sri Kodanda Rama And Anjaneya Swamy Temple, v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh, Rep By Its Principal
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR W.P.No.36603 OF 2015 O R D E R :
Alleging that compensation for the acquired land is not being paid to the petitioner Temple, the present writ petition is filed. On 09-11-2015, when this writ petition came up for hearing, it was noticed that the writ petition is filed by the petitioner Temple governed by A.P.Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowment Act, 1987, against the Revenue Department of the same State and, therefore, learned Advocate General was required to appear in the matter by two more weeks.
On the subsequent date of hearing on 07-12-2015, learned Advocate General informed the Court that the controversy in the writ petition is resolved and the District Collector, who is also Chairman of DSCSCS Limited, Guntur, has passed orders in Lr.R.cNo.256/99/SC/B10, dated 06-12-2015, for payment of compensation and 18 cheques were already forwarded to the Executive Officers concerned and produced xerox copies of the cheques issued in the name of different Temples covering the amount of Rs.45,23,050/-. Learned counsel for the petitioner had taken time to verify the said letter. However, again adjournment is sought today. I am not inclined to grant further time as the aforesaid orders of the Collector are already communicated to the concerned including the petitioner Temple.
In view of that, nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
