This appeal is preferred by the appellants/claimants questioning the order of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal-cumDistrict Judge, Srikakulam (for short, Tribunal) in M.V.O.P.No.240 of 2009 dated 06-04-2010, on the ground that the compensation awarded by the Tribunal is very meager.

After perusing the order of the Tribunal and after hearing the learned counsel appearing for respondent No.1, this Court feels that the Tribunal well considered the claim of the appellants and it needs no interference, except enhancement of funeral expenses and consortium amount to Rs.15,000/-. The amount awarded under other heads need not be interfered.

Accordingly, the Motor Accident Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is allowed in part. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
