Petitioner And The State of Telangana, rep., by its Principal Secretary, Irrigation and CAD Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad and others .. Respondents The Court made the following:

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.8830 OF 2017 ORDER:

Petitioner alleges that he initially appointed as Tracer on 06.01.1995. He sought to come back as Assistant Engineer which post he was earlier holding before his appointment by transfer as Assistant Executive Engineer. The said request of the petitioner is rejected by the order impugned, dated 03.12.2016, in the Writ Petition. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner claims to have filed an appeal on 04.01.2017.

2.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that since appeal is already filed and he intends to pursue the same, if a direction is issued to dispose of the said appeal within a fixed time frame, it would suffice the interest of the petitioner. 3.

Having regard to the said submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the appeal, dated 04.01.2017, and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of the decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
