,RESPONDENTS AND Petition under Article 226 of the constitution of lndia praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Ivlandamus or any other appropriate writ (i) declare the action of the 2nd Respondent in not conducting the interview for promotion to the post of Senior professor with academic Level-15 under the Career Advancement Scheme as illegal, arbitrary and liable to be set aside and consequently direct the 2nd Respondent to conduct the interview and issue the orders of appointment to the Petitioner; (ii) declare the action of the 2nd Respondent in not promoting the Petitioner to the post of Senior Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences under Career Advancement Scheme as illegal, arbitrary and liable to be set aside and consequently issue orders of appointment to the post of Senior Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences; (iii) declare the action of the 2nd Respondent in not considering the eligibility of the Petitioner for retrial benefits that are applicable to the post of Senior Professor as illegal, arbitrary and liable to be set aside and consequently; (ii) direct the Respondents to issue retrial benefits as applicable to the post of Senior Professor with Academic Level - 15 - Pay Scale: Rs.
1,82,200 - 2,24,100.

I Heard Ms. K' Udaya Sri, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for respondent No.1, and learned Standing Counsel for Kakatiya University appearing for respondents 2' With the consent of learned counsel for the respective parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. On 10. 11.2O2O, petitioner made a representation to the Registrar, Kakatiya University, requesting to conduct Promotion lntervier,l, for the post of Senior Professor, I(U, under Career Advancement Scheme of the UGC RSP-2006 (CAS). Petitioner alleges that he is retiring from service on 30.1 1.2020 and so far the said representation is not disposed of.
Having regard to the same, this writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to dispose of the representation dated 10.11.2O2O submitted by the petitioner as expeditiously AS possible. If petitioner is found eligible for the post of Senior Professor, KU, under Career Advancement Scheme of the UGC RSP-2006 (CAS), all the benefits may be granted, if he is otherwise entitled, notwithstanding the petitioner retiring from service very soon. No order as to costs
