This writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both parties.

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to declare the inaction of the 2nd respondent in disposing of the review petition filed by the petitioner on 28.07.2010 followed by personal visits and reminder, dated 23.12.2018, as arbitrary, illegal and unjust. 3.

Heard Sri G. Rajesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri N. Vasudeva Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

It has been contended by the petitioner that he was initially appointed as a contract Conductor during January 2008 and while he was discharging his duties, the petitioner was terminated from service, vide orders, dated 17.06.2008, on the ground that the petitioner remained absent without informing his superiors. Thereafter, the petitioner has filed an appeal and thereafter a review before the 2nd respondent on 28.07.2010 requesting the 2nd respondent to take the petitioner back into duty, but so far the 2nd respondent has not passed any orders on the review petition filed by the petitioner, dated 28.07.2010. The petitioner further submits that he has submitted a reminder to the 2nd respondent on 23.12.2018, but so far the 2nd respondent has also not passed any order on the reminder. Therefore,

learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the review petition preferred by the petitioner on 28.07.2010 and also reminder, dated 23.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents had contended that the case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on the review preferred by the petitioner, dated 28.07.2010, and reminder dated, 23.12.2018. 6.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions of the learned counsel for respective parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to pass appropriate orders on the review preferred by the petitioner on 28.07.2010 and also on the reminder submitted on 23.12.2018 in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
