Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "... to issue a Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly, one in the nature of Writ of Prohibiton, (a) from preventing and continuing the proceedings in C.C.No.31/2011, dated 11.08.2011, on the file of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, Krishna, at Machilipatnam, as the Hon' ble Forum entertained took cognizance and issued process without jurisdiction which is contrary to the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, (b) consequently to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.31/2011 on the file of The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-1, Krishna, at Machilipatnam, and pass such other order or orders..."
At the hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed for non-prosecution. Even otherwise also, in the light of the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition to the effect that the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, Krishna, at Machilipatnam, be restrained from continuing the proceedings in C.C.No.31 of 2011, and in the absence of interim stay granted in the Writ Petition, the aforementioned proceedings before the District Forum might have been disposed of.
On both these counts, the Writ Petition is dismissed. As a sequel to the dismissal of the Writ Petition, WPMP No.33374 of 2011 shall also stand dismissed.
