W.P.No.24951/2016 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice V. Ramasubramanian) Aggrieved by the refusal of the university to grant affiliation for certain courses, the petitioner came up with the above writ petition challenging not only the refusal of affiliation but also the JNTU Affiliation Procedure Regulations, 2015.

At the time when the writ petition came up for orders as to admission, we found that the petitioners did not deserve any interim orders. Now the last date for admission to various courses is over. The counselling has also been completed. Therefore, the challenge in the writ petition has become one of mere academic importance at least for the current academic year. Therefore, giving liberty to the petitioners to renew their challenge for the next year, the writ petition is closed. De hors the dismissal of this writ petition, the applications of the petitioner, if any, made for the next academic year shall be considered independently with reference to the status prevailing at that time. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
